Introduction to Modern Calligraphy: Modern calligraphy is a fresh style of decorative handwriting that is easy to create and showcases your own unique calligraphic flourish. Course Details: Participants will experience an introduction to the history of letterforms and seven significant lettering styles. From these fundamentals, they’ll build on their own personal handwriting style and embellish it to personalise a gift tag, greeting card, or other simple seasonal project. Tutor Details: James Cobbett TMIET is a qualified higher-education teacher, delivering popular workshops in modern and traditional calligraphy. His wealth of letterform experience originates from years working in architecture and engineering, where professionals would need to communicate ideas quickly and effectively using drawing conventions annotated with Architectural or Technical Lettering.
