Avoncroft Museum is committed to rescuing and preserving historic buildings from the West Midlands region for current and future generation to enhance understanding and inspire our visitors to care for their heritage and the built environment. As an independent museum and a registered charity, we rely solely on grants, donations, visitor admissions and income from trading to sustain the Museum; it currently costs around £20,000 a month to maintain our 30 historic buildings and to open to the public. Fundraising: Our current priorities for fundraising to carry out essential conservation are: Our windmill is synonymous with Avoncroft, much-loved by our visitors, and a key part of our visitor offer. However, we have been unable to sail for several years as remedial work to its round rail is required. If you wish to contribute to financially support this project, please visit our donations page. Work to our 18th Century Granary from Temple Broughton Farm, Broughton Green, Droitwich. One of the supporting beams has failed and we need to remove the top of the staircase to re-insert new timber to give the beam its structural integrity back – estimated cost £8,000.
