We aim to support the National Curriculum through the development of individual enquiry, communication and learning via our collection of 30 historic buildings spanning 700 years.

Our educational offer and hands-on learning experiences encompass numerous subjects including history, the arts, design, technology, science and nature.

Workshops last for 90 minutes and are suitable for groups of up to 15 children.

Construction workshops include wattle and daub, brickmaking and timber construction.

Our ‘Three Little Pigs’ workshop involves a retelling of the classic fairy tale, serving to make the themes of building and construction easily accessible and engaging.

Although the Museum will endeavour to ensure schools enjoy a safe and rewarding experience during their visit, teachers and group leaders bear primary responsibility for the safety of the children and young people in their care.
