Christmas wreath workshop The custom of bringing evergreens home during winter began in the 16th century among northern and eastern Europeans. Trees were trimmed to make them more attractive and to enable them to fit into homes with the excess greenery used to fashion wreaths. This tradition spread to other regions and became popular in England from the 19th century onwards.
