Introduction to Felt Making History: Felt making is an ancient craft dating back thousands of years, involving matting fibres together through a process of heat, moisture, and friction. Early nomadic cultures used felt for practical items such as clothing and rugs. Today, felt making continues to be a functional craft and an art form, with modern artisans using the technique to create everything from clothing and accessories to home décor.
