We flung open our gates on the weekend of 25th and 26th February, as we reopened the Museum after our Winter break. It was great to welcome visitors back with a very successful Wassailing event, everyone that attended seemed to enjoy taking part in our Wassailing processions down to our orchards, ringing bells and banging pots and pans. So our Orchards were well and truly woken up from their Winter slumber. There was singing, poetry, live music and dancing with the Blackadder Morris and even toasting marshmallows on the camp fire and toasting the trees with mulled apple juice. We are already planning next years event, which will be even bigger and louder. enquires please email events@avoncroft.org.uk Wassail Wassail Wassail !
