Volunteers assist the Museum in many ways, from stewarding our furnished buildings and exhibitions during opening hours to assisting with the Museum administration. Volunteers also help during our special events and activities, as well as helping with maintenance, conservation and gardening. We are always keen to attract new volunteers. We offer full training and support, out of pocket expenses and discounts on refreshments in our Tea Room. Volunteer-Application-Form-2024 At the moment we are particularly interested in the following volunteer roles: Volunteer Interpreters Are you passionate about history, do you enjoy meeting new people, and would you like to make a difference? If so, we would love to hear from you! We are looking for volunteers to occupy our buildings, engage with our visitors and bring our collections to life. Events & Marketing Volunteer Teams With so many varied events and activities in the diary for 2024 we are setting up an Events Team & Marketing Team. Tasks will be very varied to include behind the scenes set up and break down, delivering activities, attending shows, promotion to delivering leaflets and everything in between. Group Volunteering Avoncroft Museum has a number of opportunities for groups of up to 30 people who would like to undertake a voluntary project. This can be a single day volunteering or a more regular arrangement. The activities are fully risk assessed and insured.
