Evacuee Pack for 1940s On The Home Front

Are you attending our On The Home Front Event on the 4th & 5th October and are bringing children ?

We have assembled our Evacuee Packs to make the experience for children interactive.

The packs cost £5 each and any profits will go directly into the museum.

Contents: Each pack contains

1.  All About child evacuee sheet
2. Content and what to do sheet
3. gas mask box to assemble (with string handle)
4. gas mask mask to cut out and colour in (with elastic)
5. luggage label to wear all day
6. 1940s ID Card to get stamped at various locations across the event
7. Pencil
8. Postcard (to write home and post)
9. Sweet Ration
10. Colouring sheet
11. Paper doll or plane

Location: Pick up your packs at The Evacuee Stall will be located outside the Introduction Gallery (outside the Visitor Welcome Area)

Availability: Limited numbers of packs will be available to purchase on the day pre book yours today

Participant information: Guidance to help children put the items together will be provided by the volunteers on the stall.

The sad goodbye and the grand return: Children will be invited to gather together as they pretend to leave and return as Evacuees.

Select from either 1940s Girl or 1940s Boy : in the 1940s girls and boys had separate games and toys you can select which you would like the boys packs contain a paper plane to cut out and colour the girls contain a paper Land Army Doll to cut out and dress.
