It’s time…..to Time Travel! as Avoncroft Museum will come to life over the last weekend of the Easter school Holidays as over 40 of the best in Living History re-enactment groups set up over 40 camps in and around the historic buildings, representing life from the Stone Age, through the Viking era to the 1940’s and beyond. Join us at Avoncroft Museum the ‘new home’ of the International Living History Festival for an unforgettable family day out or make a weekend of it giving yourselves plenty of time to explore both the 19-acre site and our historic buildings, which will be brought to life with re-enactors from the Bronze Age to the Cold War. Experience lots of hands-on activities, explore the historically themed market and delve right into the past over this unique weekend. Over 300 reenactors as part of Pike and Shott Events will set up over 40 Camps all over the 19-acre site which is also the home to over 30 Historical Buildings and structures spanning 700 years. There will also be around 30 trader stalls, inside and outside, selling historically inspired artefacts from jewellery and hats to handmade tools, costumes and cloth to historic pottery. You can also get a real taste of history with The Copper Pot’s delicious chocolates, a medieval kitchen display and multiple mead-makers among the traders.
