Avoncroft Living History Festival – April 25th – 26th 2026 – Application form for Re-enactment Groups & Individuals:

The Living History Festival has been held at Avoncroft Museum since 2022 and has become established as one of the largest and most popular multi-era living history festivals in the region. Following the 2025 retirement of Dave Allen of Pike & Shot Events Ltd, Avoncroft Museum will now also be responsible for directly recruiting and co-ordinating the reenactors taking part in the event. To reflect these changes and with Dave’s blessing the event will be rebranded as the Avoncroft Living History Festival. Attended by many of the best re-enactment groups in the UK, the event makes full use of the 30 historic buildings across the sites 18 acres providing the perfect backdrop and setting for groups to set up camp. From the stone age through to the 1940s the Avoncroft Living History Festival depicts over one thousand years of living history. The 2026 event features two arenas for displays and talks as well as two stages for music, talks and displays. On site period camping is available with modern camping and parking immediately adjacent to the site. Historic traders are welcome.
