Introduction to Stained Glass

History:

Stained glass has been used for thousands of years, beginning with the Ancient Romans and Egyptians, who produced small objects made from coloured glass.

Course Details:

Join our hands-on workshop and learn the ancient craft of stained glass. In this session you will:

  • Choose your pattern
  • Select your glass
  • Wrap the edges of each piece of glass in copper foil
  • Learn how to solder to bind the pieces together
  • Clean and finish the item to takeaway

Unleash your creativity and craft something beautiful and unique.

Suitable for beginners.

Fee: £55 or £50 for members.

Participant information:

-The workshop will be restricted to a maximum of 8 participants.

-All materials will be provided.

-Over 18s only.

Refreshments: Breakfast tea and filter coffee provided free of charge. The Museum tearoom, serving a range of hot and cold food, will also be open. Food can be pre-booked by the tutor on arrival.
