Date: Sunday 22nd November Time: 10:00 – 1:00 pm Duration: 3 hours Location: Town House, Avoncroft Museum Course details: An introductory workshop into the wonderful world of spoon carving. Using a straight knife, a hook knife, axe and mallet, you will be be guided through the process of making a beautiful, hand carved eating sized spoon, made from native hard wood. There may also be an opportunity to carve a butterknife depending on the capabilities of participants. Tutor Details: With an original background in conservation, Fay Jones has been playing, making, and teaching wood and textile crafts over a decade. Fee: £55 or £50 for members. Fee includes Museum admission (£15 per person) and access to our 19-acre site and 30 historic buildings. Please note, the reduced members rate applies to members only. Please arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before the session starts, as the session will be delivered in one of our historic buildings onsite.
