Introduction to Bow Making

History:  The selfbow is a traditional bow crafted from a single piece of wood and is one of the oldest and most widespread forms of archery equipment. Used by cultures around the world from prehistoric times through to the medieval period, the selfbow was essential for hunting and warfare before the invention of composite and laminated bows. Today, the selfbow remains a symbol of traditional archery and heritage, celebrated for its simplicity, effectiveness, and connection to ancient practices.
