Christmas wreath workshop- Morning Session 10:00 am – 12:30 pm:

The custom of bringing evergreens home during winter began in the 16th century among northern and eastern Europeans. Trees were trimmed to make them more attractive and to enable them to fit into homes with the excess greenery used to fashion wreaths. This tradition spread to other regions and became popular in England from the 19^th century onwards.

Course Details: Come and join us for a relaxing afternoon of festivities and learn how to make your own attractive and sustainable Christmas wreath for your home.

Tutor Details: Our tutors have a wealth of experience in heritage skills including greenwood working.

Fee: £35 per person (£30 for members) includes free admission to the Museum, a mince pie, and a glass of mulled wine or juice. Please note, if you wish to look round the Museum, please do so before your session starts.

Participant information: All materials will be provided.

Refreshments: Mulled wine and a mince pie provided free of charge. The Museum tearoom, serving a range of hot and cold food, will also be open.
