Since we reopened we’ve made every effort to keep you safe from Covid-19. This is, remains and always will be our highest priority. So below is a quick round up of what we’ve done to make Avoncroft covid-safe for you. A one way system around site, which you can walk around as many times as you want if the desire takes you. Hand sanitizer stations at the entrance, granary and cockpit for you to use (don’t worry about using it all….we have lots of spare sanitizer!) Increased signage to act as a reminder. There are appropriate shields in place on the counters in areas such as the tea rooms and shop and in these areas all visitors must wear masks. Many of the buildings are restricted in terms of access, but we’re now in a position where all are open except for the tollhouse and cell block – which will reopen imminently. You can now book online in advance of your visit up to six people as in line with the new rule of six and get priority entry. Online bookings are suitably staggered to avoid queues building. Additional covid-safe measures are being put in place for specific activities which are tailored to what is happening. Additional cleaning across site, including our toilets, admissions area and tea rooms. We also, for the time being, are only serving a limited takeaway menu in the tea rooms and have provided ample outdoor seating around the grounds. We hope this makes your visit a happy one!
