Avoncroft Museum is committed to rescuing, preserving and conserving historic buildings for future generations. We aim to encourage learning and inspire people to care for their heritage and built environment. We are an independent museum and a registered charity and rely on grants, donations, visitor admissions and income from trading to keep the Museum going for future generations. Please support our work – If you want to talk to someone about making a contribution, please contact us on 01527 831363 or 01527 831886. It currently costs around £18,000 a month to keep Avoncroft open to the public – ensuring it’s still here as an exciting day out for families in the years to come as well as a place for learning for hundreds of school children. HOW CAN YOU HELP? Donate via our donations page, any amount can make a difference! Volunteer your time and skills. Please visit the Volunteering page, our volunteers are the life blood of the Museum and their work is very much appreciated. Become an Annual or Life Member, you receive a range of benefits as well as regular updates on Avoncroft’s projects. Attend our fundraising events, which include quizzes and raffles. Help to run these events is always welcome too. Donate raffle items. Visit the Museum and bring your friends! Fundraising Our current priorities for fundraising to carry out essential conservation are: Work to our 18th Century Granary from Temple Broughton Farm, Broughton Green, Droitwich. One of the supporting beams has failed and we need to remove the top of the staircase to re-insert new timber to give the beam its structural integrity back – estimated cost £8,000. Support for our Volunteering programme. Avoncroft welcomes over 150 volunteers to the Museum throughout the year from all sectors of our local community, and while they make a massive contribution to the Museum, there are costs involved in running the programmes. We want to extend these opportunities further for more in-depth volunteering roles and for younger supporters of the Museum – annual cost £14,000. Contribute to the annual maintenance programme – the incidental maintenance of over 30 historic buildings and structures each year costs over £20,000 – whether on paint, rainwater goods, specialist cleaning, lightening conductors, electrical maintenance etc. Visit our New and Ongoing Projects page for more information about the work we are doing at the Museum and how the money we raise is being spent. Avoncroft Museum is a registered charity, no. 241644.
