Experience Wartime Britain at Avoncroft Museum

Step back in time as Avoncroft turns back the clock to the 1940s!
Our 19-acre site will be brought to life with vehicles, re-enactors, immersive living history camps, and entertainment recreating life on the Home Front and Frontline during the Second World War.

Living History Camps

Meet re-enactors across the grounds, bringing wartime Britain vividly to life:

The Windmill Field will host our ever-expanding re-enactment groups.

Family Fun

• 1940s Vintage Fairground – swing boats, hook-a-duck, candy floss & more
• Miniature Railway – running both days (£1 per ride)
• Evacuee Stall – dress the kids in evacuee outfits and pick up a pack (includes ID card, ration sweets, postcard & more)
