Visit Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings, Bromsgrove and enjoy traditional crafts and Easter bank holiday fun, plus Roald Dahl stories and activities for children during the school holidays! On Bank Holiday Sunday (27th March) and Monday (28th March) there will be Family Fun Days, with something for visitors of all ages! Take part in our Easter games, like egg rolling and egg and spoon races; try your hand at traditional willow weaving and archery, plus a chance to see and even hold some real fluffy chicks and ducklings! Meet the occupants of our historic houses as they celebrate Easter, but there is no rest for our blacksmith and chainmaker, who will both be hard at work in our Forges and Chainshop. At 2.30pm on Sunday 27th March there will be a service of Easter praise which will take place in the Victorian Mission Church. During the school holidays, we will be marking 100 years since the birth of popular children’s author Roald Dahl with some activities inspired by his magical stories. Tuesday 29th – Thursday 31st March – Marvellous machines! Build a machine from Lego, fit for a chocolate factory. Tuesday 5th – Thursday 7th April – Incredible creatures! Meet and handle some amazing animals with The Animal Man.Plus a Roald Dahl Treasure Trail and even more creative craft activities! Places are limited, please book your place on arrival at the Museum.
