Roll up, roll up and sample life from a bygone era at Avoncroft Museum’s Victorian Fair over the Bank Holiday weekend.  Come and join us on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th August 2013 from 10.30am to 5pm to meet a range of characters and join in Victorian-themed activities.

Step back in time and experience all the fun of a Victorian Fair with traditional attractions including swing boats, coconut shies and a “test-your-strength” hammer.  Come and meet a wide range of colourful characters from the past, from criminals and rapscallions to school ma’ams.

The whole family can take part in a traditional school lesson, travel in style in a Victorian carriage or watch the lively goings-on of an old-fashioned gin shop.  There will also be magic lantern displays, a Punch & Judy show and music.

Try your hand at making corn dollies or simply watch craftspeople such as lace-makers and blacksmiths demonstrate their skills.  Take a break and enjoy the range of Victorian-themed refreshments and traditional sweets.
