Lovers of vintage goods and collectables will find plenty to delight them at Avoncroft Museum’s new promotional and fundraising shop at 49 High Street, Bromsgrove.

The shop is packed with china, glassware, furniture and books dating right through from the Victorian era to the 1980s.  All of these have been kindly donated by supporters to help Avoncroft raise money to fund its charitable work rescuing endangered buildings.

The shop also has information about Avoncroft Museum and other local attractions, which is proving particularly popular as there is no longer a tourist information office in the town.

Museum Director, Simon Carter, said “We are delighted that our new shop is proving such a hit, it helps us raise funds to support the work we do and means that we can also help raise the profile of other destinations in the area as well.

“We are looking for more good quality vintage (pre-1980s) goods to sell in the shop and would be very grateful for donations if anyone is having a clear out.”

The shop is open 10.00am until 5.00pm Tuesdays to Saturdays and is looking for volunteers.  Anyone who can spare a few hours each week and is interested in helping can contact Simon on or Julia on
