"It is wonderful to see the windmill restored as I used to play in it when I was a child in the late 50's. At that time it was in a very sorry state at it's original location at Danzey Green. "

"I first visited Avoncroft museum with my primary school when I was 10 years old. I loved it then and have been when I was 20 and when I was 30. I am now 35 and have children of my own. I hope to be visiting this year when I will be 36 and will be bringing my children along. I hope that they enjoy it as much as I enjoy visiting. Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing you soon. "

"Dear All at Avoncroft, I just wanted to email you to say what a wonderful time myself and my family had at the 1940s weekend yesterday. We were amazed at the authenticity of the whole event. The costumes, accessories and enthusiam of the volunteers was brilliant!! Everyone was so friendly and keen to make you enjoy your day. The highlight of the day for us had to be Lola Lamour - she looked like she had been teleported directly from the forties!! Thank goodness the sun shone for you - it made an excellent day out perfect. I shall keep a watch on your forthcoming events as we are all keen to come back! Thanks again Karen - from Kidderminster "

"My son visited on a school trip and enjoyed it so much that he hasn't stopped talking about his wonderful day out yet. I know so much about victorian life that I feel as if I've been myself. A very educational and enjoyable day out. We will visit as a family at Christmas. I can't wait. "

"We visited by chance, had no idea what to expect. What a fantastic place! It is a fun and fabulous way to learn about the history of this country (whatever age you are). More buildings should be preserved in this way. My nephew Oliver was most impressed when we told him we had stood next to the Tardis! I'm sure we'll visit again. "

"I went today, it was the most perfect day, like stepping back into yesteryear, the people working in the buildings were so enthusiastic and obliging. I am so pleased that someone is trying to save our heritage. It was a most enjoyable day and I will return again with family. It was well worth the fee, and not expensive. Thank you."
